We're Down For Maintenance

There is the naïve belief that advocacy and politics are about words like Empowerment, Justice, Power of the Vote.  Instead, we have learned politics is about THE MOVIEDA, THE HOOKUP, KICKBACK. We are learning, thanks to the leaked racists rants of Nury Martinez and her cronies, what many have already suspected and many have already known, that the disgusting back rooms involved EVERYONE! EVERYONE!

As an organization that is partnered with COMMUNITY BASED ORGANIZATIONS doing incredible grassroots work for struggling neighborhoods in Los Angeles communities from South Los Angeles, East Los Angeles to North East Los Angeles, we condemn racism in any form. We reject so called leaders who encourage racists rhetoric and who refuse accountability.

We are not monkeys, villagers or ugly. We are beautiful hard working people and families and there are more of us than you. We are hurt by your words and your actions. For what is morally correct, resign. For the sake of our city, resign.
